Internet of Things course

Course description

In the course you learn the basics of IoT. This project based course helps you to develop an IoT concept from scratch. You work on projects in the cloud and build your own simple IoT solution. You get an introduction to data analytics using Cloud tools. Additionally to the technical skills you will be able to interact with professionals in the field from different companies.

The Internet of Things course is the advanced course of the Cloud Computing track.

Projects

You will work in a team on a project to learn hands-on how to work on IoT topics. You can choose a task or bring your own.

 

Project Topics:

 - Sustainability using IoT to flight climate change

 - Smart Living (supported by Bosch’s team)

The project will have an MVP, a detailed architecture documentation and a final project pitch. Each team has a mentor that monitors progress and support the development of tasks. Mentors will meet with the team once a week.

​Requirements
Commitment

Students are expected to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week - including attendance to the course (4 hours/week) and self-learning at home (6hours/week). 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation.

Dates

The Onboarding Week takes place in the second week of September.

Semester starts in September and ends on December.

Classes are Monday and Wednesday, 17:30 - 19:00
