DIGITAL WOMEN PROGRAM
Copenhagen

ReDI School’s Digital Women Program in Copenhagen aims to empower ethnic minority women by offering them free IT-courses and other activities. 

 

The courses supports the students in developing their digital skills. The aim is to accelerate their integration in Denmark and provide them with new opportunities, both in their everyday life and on the job market. 

 

The courses also supports the students in developing their communication and collaboration skills and helps them expand their personal and professional network - all to create new opportunities. 

  ReDI School is for you if you are:

  • A woman with ethnic minority background or limited access to education and network 

  • Interested in improving your digital skills

  • Looking to meet new people

  • Looking to establish a professional network

  • Interested in new job opportunities ​

The spring semester 2020 is now rolling! 

It lasts 12 weeks running from February 1st to April 29th.

We offer three courses: Digital Literacy, Introduction to Coding and User Experience.
 

What will you learn?

Digital Literacy

If you have none or limited computer skills, this course is for you. You will learn computer skills useful in your everyday life. You will also learn computer skills relevant for applying for jobs. At the end of this course you will be able to use a computer and the internet independently. You will also be able to use public platforms, write a CV and job applications independently.

  • Curiosity to learn digital skills

  • Commitment to attend the classes

  • Able to read and write farsi and/or sorani and/or arabic

Location: Trustworks, Amagertorv 29, 1160 Copenhagen

Time: Wednesdays at 16.00-19.00

Location: Hewlet Packard Enterprise, Allerød

Dates: February 5 to April 29

DIGITAL LITERACY (FULL SPRING 2020)
At this course, you will acquire the basic skills to use a computer, to use the internet and to search for job.

Introduction to Coding

This course is for you, if you are interested in tech and wants to pursue a digital career. It is for you, if you want to learn to code in JavaScript. At the end of the semester, you will be able to understand JavaScript at an introductory level, hereunder terminology, concepts and scripting. You will be able to work independently on your own project.

INTRODUCTION TO CODING (FULL IN SPRING 2020)
JavaScript is a programming language for the web. It is for example used to enhance web pages to provide for a more user friendly experience. At this course you will learn JavaScript for front-end web development, meaning that you will learn to code the user interface, i.e what the user sees.

User Experience

This course is for you, if you are interested in tech and wants to pursue a digital career. It is for you, if you want to develop your understanding of users and want to learn how to design experiences for them. At the end of the semester, you will be able to undertake users research, put yourself into their mindset and design online platforms that cater to their needs.

User Experience (FULL IN SPRING 2020)
At this course, you will learn to design online platforms that provide meaningful experiences to users. This involves making user research and designing the experience taking aspects of design, usability and functions into account.
